My fifth month

Flying Through Time my Fifth Month

I have become a pro at grabbing everything that's in reaching distance. Thursday, May 26 Mom and I drove to Granny's house. We spent the night there and the next morning Mom, Uncle Gerald, Aunt Kristen, and I drove down to Louisiana to visit my family I have not seen yet. Later Friday night Granny, Pawpaw and Aunt Caitlyn (sounds weird haha) arrived at Maw maw's house. We spent two nights there. We were able to visit with Sister Anna, Brian, Nanny June, Uncle Jolly, Mimi, Miranda, Lilly, Maw-maw, Terrie, and Dori. On Saturday, an old friend of Granny's, Paula, came over with her daughter Sammy. She stayed and visited for a few minutes. After visiting everyone, we all headed back to Mississippi. Mom said it was an awful drive. Not only was it storming outside, but she ended up with a hamburger all over the car (thank you Aunt Kristen) and she got pulled over by a police office who thought she didn't have her seat belt on. We got to Mississippi Sunday night. With all the driving I definitely got mixed up on my sleeping patterns.

Every since we went to Granny's I have been on a wacky schedule. I do not sleep at night very well. My schedule is falling asleep at 9, waking up at 1:30, 3:30, and 7:00. Mom's not too pleased with that routine. It also makes me grouchy during the day because I'm exhausted.

conclusion:
I don't really have any first things in this month. I've just slowly grown and learned to adapt to my environment. By the end of the month I have conquered rolling around the bed from one end to the other. However, that's not necessarily a good thing. At night I end up rolling over to my stomach and cannot fall back asleep so Mom has to get up and flip me on my back. She's learned to shove me against the side of my crib so it's harder.

I've also learned to push up on my arms and support myself very well. This way I can look around more. I didn't quite make it through this month like a breeze. I left with a BOOM. Yep, I fell off of my parents' bed. My feet slid off and I landed flat on my back. I didn't know what to do for a few seconds; I was in complete shock. Then I put my lungs to work. Needless to say I had a nice knot on the back of my head. It was a long day for me. I did not want to be put down ever to go to sleep. It took me two days to get completely back to normal.
