My sixth month

Speeding by at Six Months

I am a baby with a need for speed. I know when I'm about to get caught doing something I shouldn't be doing. I just hall butt as fast as my arms and legs allow. My favorite "toys" are wires. Wires from computers, TV, phone lines, it doesn't make a difference; they are all fun. Out of all the colorful, loud toys my family has bought for me, I still prefer wires as a source of entertainment.

I'm not really crawling yet. I get up on all fours, but just use my arms to get around while pushing with my feet. I am able to sit up by myself, but I still fall over sideways from time to time. So I'm not completely independent in that area. I also like to talk very loud. I want everyone to hear what I have to say. It's always important when it comes out of my mouth anyway.

It isn't much fun when it comes to feeding time. My family insists on taste testing every food on the market. There are many foods that I cannot stand and I think I've found just about all of them. When I don't like it, there's no pretending. I simply spit it all over until my face turns red and I loose my breath.

July 12th we went and had my pictures taken. Like most other babies, I cried pretty much the entire time. My parents weren't too smart and only fixed one bottle for me. So they would give it to me for a few minutes until I calmed down and then put me back on the floor to squeeze in a few more shots. Amazingly, all of the pictures they captured were of me smiling. I just wanted to give them a hard time. We were there for 1 1/2 hours. Just to let you know, the Picture People is one expensive place to take pictures. For now, we are sticking to the disposable cameras!!

On July 18th, guess what was found? My first tooth! My great grandma found it in the morning. Guess how? With a spoon. She was tapping the spoon on my gums and you could hear it ticking when it hit my tooth. :) Granny was right after all. I really was teething (3 months ago). Right?!
