My seventh month

Swimming is the Way to Go for a Seventh Month Old

Daddy bought a gate for me to play in when I am in the bedroom. I definitely do not like it. If I don't stay in there, I just get in trouble because I dig in everything that is left on the floor. I'm just trying to help Mommy clean, that's all.

Daddy also bought something else that is much more fun. A swimming pool! I love it! I splash in it with my hands and tend to swallow a good bit of the water at times, but that doesn't slow me down. Of course the pool is big enough for both Mommy and Daddy to get in it with me. I get too excited to stay above the water on my own; I just want to kick and splash around. It has been so hot outside so I can only stay for a few minutes because of the sun. If we wait until the sun goes down, we get eaten by mosquitoes. Unfortunately, my pool didn't last for long. It was in my backyard for about 2 or 3 weeks and some frog decided to lay some tadpoles in it. So there were hundreds of tadpoles swimming around.

There are no more quiet moments in the house while I'm awake. It's all about the noise. Mom thanks its funny how I express myself. The only time there's silence is when my eyes are closed. Even then, I wake up screaming. Haha.

conclusion:
By the end of my seventh month, I have improved on many things. I am sitting up very well. I easily go from crawling to sitting up and back to crawling. Crawling on all fours is easy unless I'm really excited and in a hurry to get somewhere. In that case, I just drop back down to the old fashion army crawl.

I pull up on the couch, crib, play pen, gate, table and everything else and just stand there for quite a few minutes at a time. I haven't learned how to let go of things and sit back down. So for now, I just stand there until my legs get tired and then start complaining until someone picks me up. If no one does before my legs get too weak, I end up falling and gain a nice bump. I also started opening up the dresser draws. I enjoy pulling out all the clothes that are so nicely folded in them. :) Man, the things we babies do for fun.

This month I have been going to the park just about every morning with Mommy. There is nothing more entertaining and relaxing than a stroll in the park. I very seldom fall asleep. I usually just stare at the trees and watch the people as we pass them up.

I must say, at this point, I am extremely spoiled. I am the man of the house. Age means nothing here. I get what I want when I want it. No questions asked. And that's the truth!
