Ecstatic About My Eighth Month
This month I have been extremely busy. I am all over the place. I still pull up on everything. I'm finally getting to where I can hold on to the couch and the table to walk a little bit. Not too far yet. I am also learning how to sit down when I get tired of standing in the same place for a long time. This isn't so easy. It's a rough fall to the ground. All I have to say is good thing I have a nice, padded diaper on.
August 20th my maw-maw came to visit me. She stayed at Pawpaw's house. Mommy and I slept there with her while she was down. Maw-maw was my rescue hero. Every time I would get scared or get cranky because I was tired of crawling, she would come and pick me up. She also put me to sleep when it was time to take my naps. That was nice and relaxing. I was a bit shy when she first arrived to Atlanta, but the last couple of days of her vacation I enjoyed her company. When I went back to the airport August 25th to fly Maw-maw home, I got to see my first airplane. The flights were delayed several hours from the original flight time. We were there for a very long time.
Right now, I do not like to be left alone in any room of the house. When I notice that someone has walked out of the door, I make sure they know I am unhappy. I'm not that heavy they should be able to carry me out with them. Right?! I just keep hearing the word "spoiled" over and over again. One day I'll find out exactly what that means. Until then, I'll keep doing what I have to do to be happy and get all the attention I need.
Not many days after I had gotten my two teeth, another one decided to pop out. Daddy was the one who said it was a tooth because Mommy didn't know what it was. She said it just looked like I hurt myself and had a cut on my gums. Anyway, I'm glad to finally have a tooth on the top to help me chew foods a little better.
My Eighth Month First Things
using the stairs:
August 28th I decided to teach Mommy a new lesson. She left me alone in the bedroom to go upstairs and fix her a bowl of cereal. It doesn't take but about 1 minute to do that. Well, she heard me making noises. She came down half the stairs to find me up the other half. I climbed 6 stairs all by myself on my hands and knees. No on even knew I could do such a thing.
Tennessee:
September 3rd I drove up to Tennessee with Mommy, Pawpaw and Nicole. It took about 2 1/2 hours to get to our destination. I slept all the way there. We found a waterfall to hike to. We hiked a total of 11 miles and it took 4 1.2 hours. The waterfall itself was not much, but I got to take a lot of awesome pictures. The hike was very relaxing. I slept the majority of the time.
brushing my teeth:
Today, September 9, Mommy brushed my teeth. I had no idea what she was doing and just kept trying to get the toothbrush so I could suck all the paste off. Unfortunately, I still have only two teeth, so there aren't many to brush. I guess it's good to start off on the right foot easily anyway.
conclusion:
I've gotten to the point where I really scream over everything. When I'm really excited I scream, when I'm mad I scream, or even when I'm just sitting there alone playing with my toys. Mommy said it drives her crazy because I'm just too loud. What can I say, I'm just expressing myself.
I'm really trying to grow up into a big boy. I went fishing with Grandpa Fico, Uncle Adnan, Daddy and Mommy. First we went to the Chattahoochee River, but there was no where to throw out the fishing line because of the stones. We decided to ride over to Lake Lanier, but for some reason everyone thought it would be best to drive to Stone Mountain. We found a really nice spot. It was very comfortable. I didn't get to see the nice things for very long because I fell asleep in my stroller next to the lake. By the end of the day, we caught a total of zero fish. Maybe we will do better next time.
