No is the Word for my Ninth Month
I have been learning more and more each day. One thing I really enjoy doing is dancing. I started dancing with my grandma in the kitchen. She plays Bosnian music really loud and I just throw one hand in the air and bounce with the music. My other dancing time is when Mommy turns the music on from her phone and I hold it.
I've learned what
no
means. However, it doesn't really keep me from doing things others don't want me to. For example, I may stop for the time being, but continue to try it many times afterwards. What I find weird is that I get upset each time someone tells me no, but I insist on replaying the incident over and over again.
I'm starting to stand up by myself without holding on to a table or someone else. I can only last for roughly 3 seconds, but it will come along. Before long I will be running all over the house. Being as I like to dig so much already, I will definitely keep Mommy occupied throughout the day.
To describe my next favorite thing I really like to do, I have written a poem. Here goes nothing:
I see this small image in front of me.
What is it; what could it possibly be?
I look into its large brown eyes.
It stares back; in interest its eyebrows rise.
I move my hand to touch it gently.
It too moves forward to stroke me ever so lightly.
Each time I make a single gesture,
It mocks me with much greater pleasures.
When I grow up big and tall,
Perhaps I'll learn what this image is after all.
I know as time foes on we will continue to be
Close to one another for life, for eternity.
In case you didn't guess it, I enjoy staring at my reflection in the mirror. I make myself laugh a lot.
My Ninth Month First Things
September 30:
Daddy and I went on our first outing together. We went to a man store and Mommy wasn't allowed to go. Daddy and I went to AutoZone. I needed to help him fix his car. Needless to say, his car still isn't working. Perhaps we can try again next week. We also went to rent a movie and buy some diapers for me. There's nothing like a day out with my Dad.
October 7:
I have been eating a lot of big people food. I do not enjoy hamburger meat very much. I like to eat bread. My favorite food is ice cream. I can't eat enough of that. If you're eating ice cream, you are my new best friend. Today Mommy and I stopped at Dunkin Donuts to get some donuts. I sat down with her and we shared two of them together. With my 3 1/2 teeth, it's easy for me to bite off the perfect size.
conclusion:
My teeth have been popping out like crazy. Mom said I wasn't much of a bother until these front teeth started poking through. Now, 6 nights out of 7 I'm sleeping in bed with Daddy and Mommy because I wake up so much. They just don't know that my teeth aren't really hurting...shhh...that's our little secret. I just kinda get lonely in my crib at night. Luckily, my teeth have helped me get my way.
I've started learning to balance myself and handle my own weight while standing up. I let go of the table and couch for longer now. I'm really anxious to start walking. Daddy can't wait either. Mommy on the other hand looks deeper into it and knows she'll have her work cut out for her.
