My tenth month

The Tremendous Adventures of my Tenth Month

When I turned 10 months, I began to wave bye-bye. I have also been spending a lot of time with Mommy's dog, Dusty. I am not afraid of her until I hear her bark then I run like crazy to the nearest person for protection. When someone makes the sound "ruff ruff" I know to look out the door to find Dusty. I also mimic the sound of a dog. For a few days I enjoyed waving byebye to others. Over time, I have forgotten how.

Whenever I get excited about something, I like to clap my hands. Mommy taught me that trick when we were driving down the road and I was crying. She turned the music up and kept clapping her hands and I joined in with her.

conclusion:
November 1: Mommy and I drove to Granny's house. We took Grandpa Ronnie's jeep so I would be more comfortable. I stayed awake for 5 hours out of the 6 hours that we were driving. We stayed in Mississippi for a few days and then drove with everyone to Louisiana. Mommy and I stayed at Mimi's house for 5 days. We got a chance to visit a lot of family. Of course that last day there I began to feel a little sick. From Louisiana we headed back to Mississippi. It was a miserable drive through New Orleans being as the bridge was gone. The usual 3 1/2 hour drive took 6 1/2. Needless to say, I was not very happy.

I greatly enjoyed my time at Granny and Pawpaw Clint's. By the end of the second week, I broke out of my shy mode and made friends with everyone. My aunt Caitlyn enjoyed my company. She always walked up to me and opened her arms up trying to hug me. I didn't appreciate it as much as everyone else did. We stayed out of town for 2 whole weeks. The drive back home was good. This time I turned things around and stayed awake for about 1 hour out of the entire trip. I had a good vacation, but I'm also happy to be home again.

I've really been enjoying the tastes of real food. So far, my favorites are rice, oatmeal and cinnamon toast crunch. One thing that I cannot handle right now is eggs. The bad side of this is when I'm finished eating, I don't like to just do it the easy way and keep my mouth closed. Instead, I take another bite and then...well, let's just say things tend to get pretty messy.
