My twelfth month

Tearing Down the Walls of Infancy at Twelve Months

I have had a great start to being one year old. Sunday, December 18th we had my birthday party at my new house. Daddy and Mommy got a new apartment and I was able to spend my first night there after the party. I had a lot of people bring me presents that day. A lot of people bought clothes for me that I would never be able to wear because they were sweat shirts that fit during the summer. But I really like all of my toys that I got. Thanks everyone!!

I have my own room in my house. My favorite place to play is in the sun room. We have a big white Christmas tree set up in there taking up some of my space. All of my toys are in there and I love to watch the people in the streets from the windows. I really want to go outside and play with the other kids, but it's just too cold right now. I have a hard time sleeping because the interstate is just outside of the window. The big trucks are scary at night when they make these loud noises. There are also a lot of policemen and ambulances.

December 25th, Mommy, Daddy and I opened presents from Santa Clause. It took me a while to get into unwrapping the gifts. The most exciting thing was playing with the trash while Mommy and Daddy unpacked the toys.

I have the walking thing down. I walk anywhere I want to go. I still fall in between, but I don't let that get in my way. Giving hugs is something I like to spend a lot of time doing. It's nice to show other people that I love them being as I can't tell them how I feel.

I am really enjoying my bath time. My favorite part is when I stick my face under the running water. Mom things I'm crazy because about 85% of the time I come back coughing and choking on the water. I also lay my face down into the water on the bottom. Maybe I just like the reactions I get. Then again, maybe I just like the taste of warm water.

Phrases I understand:

Lay down

Sit down

Come on/Hade

Bye-bye (I finally learned to wave)

Don't touch

I'm gonna getcha'

Where's Blake?
